Principal Systems DSP Engineer

Responsibilities

You will be working with the chip architect, along with analog lead, digital lead to perform system level design of the data path in the products. You will be responsible for driving system architecture choices, system modeling, signal processing algorithm design, simulation, optimization and providing specifications for implementation.

  • System level modeling including impairments
  • Deriving system level specifications based on product requirements
  • Developing signal processing algorithms, driving block level specs
  • System level performance optimization

Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D in electrical engineering with minimum 7 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in highspeed wireline or wireless communication systems
  • Strong background in digital communication theory and channel modeling
  • Experience in designing a complete DSP-based communication system
  • Proficient in C / Python or other programming language
  • Good communication skills

Additional Helpful Qualifications

  • Experience with high-speed SerDes or Ethernet transceivers
  • Understanding of mixed-signal design tradeoffs
  • Good understanding of embedded firmware architecture and design
  • Verilog RTL design experience helpful
